Bridging data science and environmental sustainability

I'm passionate about applying data science and technical skills to solve sustainability challenges. My goal is to support climate resilience efforts by turning complex data into actionable insights that inform better decisions and create real impact for sustainability.

About Me

Tiffany Lam

I'm a Master's student at the London School of Economics studying Data Science for Public Policy. Growing up in the Philippines, I witnessed how climate change disproportionately impacts vulnerable communities, driving my commitment to using data for environmental action.

My work spans climate risk analysis, data visualization, and machine learning. Most recently, I interned at Howden's Climate Risk Intelligence team, where I validated weather models, designed LLM-driven methodologies for extracting insights from technical reports, and led data audits to inform climate data management strategies. Previously at Guidehouse, I managed data pipelines and financial analysis for New York State's $3B emergency rental assistance program.

Through LSE's PP434 course in Automated Data Visualization, I created a portfolio and a Coral Triangle marine protection project, deliberately focusing on climate and sustainability themes. I developed technical skills in API integration, web scraping, geospatial mapping, machine learning, and interactive dashboard design, all applied to real-world sustainability challenges.
